The Cast of An Era Of Hope (Lonewolf d20)
Arden
Arden is a tall and muscular, usually wearing chain armor, two swords, and a bow. Although he rarely takes on a threatening demeanor, his mercenary look can put people off. He tends to have a bit of stubble and his brown hair is often a mess. He has numerous scars, the most prominent of which runs from between his right hand's middle and index fingers to his shoulder. He is missing a tooth on the left side of his mouth.
Bengal
Bengal was born to a minor lord who was also a knight. As most other Knights of Sommerlund, Bengal was chosen early in life to become a knight. Early in his training, Bengal's instructors were concerned because of his lack of a "killer instinct." The knights hold compassion as a great virtue, but a knight must be able to take up the sword when needed. With time, Bengal was able to overcome some of his timidness in order to do his duty, but his compassion and virtue are still quite evident in how he acts among his comrades and even in how he treats his enemies. As he matured, his physical strength mathced his compassion and is known as one of the most powerful knights of the Realm.
Bright Rune
Bright Rune was given his name by the Kai Order only shortly after Master Winter Owl brought him to the Kai Monastery from the city of Toran. Rune, as a child, had brief hopes of being adopted by the Brotherhood of the Crystal Star but the Guild of Foster-Brothers was persuaded to send him in a different direction. The 24 year old Kai Lord's right palm is scarred with the rune for which he was named. A story lies behind the mark but Bright Rune hesitates to tell it.

He is tall and thin, roughly 6'1" and 170 lb. He typically attempts acts that he is not quite lithe enough for and is no glutton for cowardice. He is more genial than most of the Kai Order and his tendency to speak his mind freely has earned him censure from the occasional senior Kai or nobleman. There is no doubt that this dark-haired fellow is ready to give all that he has for the good of Sommerlund.
Morgoth, as the Story Crafter
Rithao
Rithao grew up in the Dessi coastal town of Lon. His parents were peaceful folk, using magic to aid the elementals that sustained the town's farms.

One day the elementals were unexpectedly corrupted by a sinister force and the food became poisonous and vile. Two-thirds of the town's population fell sick and before people realized what was happening half of the sick townsfolk died, including Rithao's parents. The townsfolk immediately searched for an answer or culprit. Aided by two travelling Vakeros who were in town resting, a Helghast was rooted out and destroyed.

Grieving, with no home and a new-found respect for the Vakeros, Rithao asked to join their organization. Being a young teenager the Vakeros claimed he was too old to begin training, however his perseverance, determination to survive and skill with the sword caught their attention; so Rithao returned with the Vakeros for his first trip to Elzian.

A few years later Rithao had proven himself in the lore of Old-Kingdom battle magic and was given a choice between going back to Lon to help protect the town, or venturing into the outside world to gain experience and further his training in the Vakeros tradition.

He thought long and hard, but there were too many bad memories back home and having sworn vengence over the murder of his parents he could not rest until the remaining darkspawn had been defeated. Rithao chose to pledge his life and service to the Vakeros and knew in his heart that he had found his new family.
Rynor
Rynor is a man in the mid-thirties. He's dressed in a blue hooded cloak, that is rather well-worn. At closer inspection several food-stains can be detected. Rynor himself has reddish hair and an equally red beard. His intelligent eyes are green.

During the later years Rynor has been travelling extensively on different errands for the Mage's Guild in Toran. The nature of these errands has usually been of minor importance, something which doesn't make Rynor feel better about travelling. Rynor dislikes travels and would rather stay home in Toran studying. He grudgingly has to admit that he has seen much during his travels and has met interesting people though.

Rynor is naturally short-tempered and gets tired of people that isn't as fast on the uptaking as himself. He has learnt during years to calm and control these emotions though and can be quite diplomatic if he tries too.

Rynor hates the Darklords and wouldn't hesitate if he found a way to erradicate their evil once and for all. Rynor knows that an opportunity like that will not likely happen, but this will not stop him from destroying any darkspawn encountered. The reason for his hatred is that his younger brother was killed by giaks and Rynor had to watch. After that Rynor always felt that his father was blaming him for his brother's death. Rynor was ten at the time and hadn't any real choice in the matter, but it doesn't stop Rynor feeling guilty for what happened.
Silent Storm
A Kai Lady who has been trained in the arts of stealth, espionage, and even assassination. Long known to be the "envoy to Vassagonia" for the monastery, she spends more time in the sands than she does in the forest of home.

How she misses the storms of Sommerlund.

The heroes are investigating strange events in a spooky village. Whatever will they unearth? What will they unleash upon the world? Will they survive, or perish like so many before them? Only time will tell... *cue spooky music*
