There was a game here about a half year ago involving anthropomorphic animals in a medieval type society which didn't go very far.  Part of the problem was that the SC didn't answer all the questions as to how the world worked (does an anthro cat eat anthro mice or non-anthro mice or do they eat normal human food, do non-anthro animals even exist in the world, etc.).

I recently downloaded a rule system for a game called Furry Pirates, basically the same situation as above set in the age of piracy rather than the middle ages, where they have got more of the world situation sorted out.  When I've read (and possibly reread) the rules I may try to run a game here.

As the thread indicates, I am checking for interest now even though I haven't read all the rules yet.  This is done for two reasons:

1 - Character creation.  The system appears to be one of those where you have so many points to spend among so many traits.  I know that some people don't like such games because it seems to limit their ability to create a character.  Also, there would be a character creation thread with condensed information on how to build a character, available abilities, etc.  Again, some people don't like that.  I would also provide a link where people can download the full rules themselves if they want the freedom to read it, but not everyone will be able to do that, so the condensed version will have to do.

2 - It is a pirate game.  There is one ship, one crew.  When submitting an application you would be voting on the type of ship (pirate, privateerm pirate hunter, etc.) and requesting a crew position.  As SC, I will only be running minor crew members and NPC's so someone else is going to be the captain, etc. Again, some people might see this as the SC being 'unprepared' or not having a plot in mind and not want to sign up based on that.  This is the way the system is set up though, and I just want people to know in advance.

Anyhow, think about it.  Shoot down the idea or show interest in it based on what you've read here so far and be on the look out for a possible sign up in a month or so.

Thanks
