Another idea:
In the interest of helping to keep stories featured on storycrafter neat, tidy, and streamlined -- both for the cast members as well as any potential lurkers/visitors to the site -- how about adding in a secondary "Current Acts" box on a story's main page, either as part of the main page structure or as an optional addition that could be turned ON or OFF from the options screen?
Instead of "Current Acts", maybe the heading of this new field could be set by the SC, so that he/she could designate the secondary ACT box to serve whatever specific purposes he/she had in mind. At the very least, if renaming the heading could potentially cause problems, then designating this field as "Miscellaneous Content"?
This way, SC's would be encouraged to keep STORY threads (involving in-character interactions, role playing, and game play) under the "Current Acts" heading and separate from CONTENT threads (Character Creation Rules, Setting Overview/Development, Important NPC's, OOC, etc.), which would help SC's stay organized, while also making stories more attractive to lurkers, visitors, and even potential future cast members.
There should also be an option to HIDE this secondary box completely without removing it, so the SC and cast members can see and access it, but lurkers/visitors don't know it exists. Permission to access and post to the threads would most likely be the same as threads in the Current Acts field (making threads visible to everyone, or allowing only certain users to see and post to the thread); although there should be a separate Permissions category for cast members, in addition to "Make Priciple Author", for example, something like "Content Contributor"; this way, SC's can keep content development separate from STORY development, and a cast member interested in one aspect need not gain the abilities to alter, modify, or delete content from the other aspect.
