I'm trying to get into the new IM feature and test it out to provide feedback, but I'm having some issues. While the Founder is seen by everyone (and I was able to talk with him in it,) it seems that adding friends isn't working too well.

If I use the Add More Friends function on the IM bar, it brings me to a list of all members. If I click on a member, it brings me to their profile and seems to be a dead end. If I go to my Profile page and "Edit Friends" I can add friends but even if they add me (tested with Shanna) we can't see each other in the IM Online. It still says only The Founder is a friend.

I'm sure I'm just not getting something here!

Okay, looks like I've got some kinks to work out. I tested and made some changes and you should be able to see your friends now. BUT they will not receive any IMs from you unless they list you as their friend too.

This prevents spam chats from people you don't know.

How to easily add a person as a Friend:

1. On the home page (or bottom of forum) there's a list of people that are online. Click on your friends name. Then you can add them to your buddies list or friends list from that page by clicking on the link next to current status.
