The table containing all story message boards crashed. In an effort to repair it I cleared all the data. You will have to recreate any message boards you may have created for your stories.

I was just noticing this. Ah well, nothing terrbily important contained in that, and if I had to choose what to lose (at least in my stories), that would certainly be it. Whew!

Wow, sorry to hear that, Founder. I don't think I use them much in my other games...could that be why the site was slowing down?

Truthfully I do have recent backups but think the problem was there was corrupt data in the table so I'm not keen on restoring it.

I don't use them at all, really. Could do without them in all honesty. I think they are superfluous when multiple threads are possible. Then again I would think that because I don't USE them. Never mind...go on about your business. Nothing to see here.  |

Really, all I've lost is some background on Middle Earth. ...honestly, it's nothing I couldn't just write up again straight from memory. Probably better than before, to boot. |

Yeah, I would use them when I had them -- but after they crashed, I just removed them from my games.

And that's the great thing about the Message Boards. You can use them or remove them as you see fit! I know some games use them quite a bit. |

I stopped using them after the third or fourth time I deleted a board by accident, instead of deleting a POST... because there was (is?) no Confirmation prompt.

You know, I think that's what happened to me. After that I only used them for contact information if that. |
