I recently posted a new fantasy story "Laketown a Middle Earth adventure" and it hasn't been getting any bites. Is there some thing else i can do? ( I already posted in casting call) or is it normal for a story to be for a week with out any interested pc's? I am open to any and all suggestions as I enjoy this realm very much and I know playing there has a lot of potential.

It could just be the usual Storycrafter downtime.  We seem to be going through a lull - it has happened in the past that interesting-appearing games have just...faded off the front page without people showing interest.  It's quite possible that nobody is interested in a Lord of the Rings game at the moment.

It's not unusual, I can tell you.  :)

I have a few comments....

1.  The 'system' might turn off freeformers looking for a story, and not interest people who roleplay by rules due to its lack of detail.  It might be better to choose one or the other - either a full system, or freeform.  Might.  I've seen some successful games with partial systems.

2.  The weird 'start-fragment' stuff in the rules and prologue is a little disconcerting.  Edit those out, if you can.

3.  That is the largest hobbit in the history of hobbits.  :)  Probably even bigger than the Bullroarer.

4.  You might want to give more attention to the prologue.  People might be a touch leery of what appears to be a 'So you all bump into each other at an Inn' starting.

Anyway, there's nothing huge (except your hobbit! :) I can see.  Grammar check?  I'm nitpicking now.

Thank you Shanna. That is all helpful I don't know where the "Start fragment"  business came from. It wasn't in the text box when i went to edit it... fixed now though. Yuppers 4'7" is a monster hobbit, my mistake. As far as everything else, I suppose if the interest isn't there there is not a whole lot I can do about it. I was hoping to introduce characters based on their history's etc. It is difficult to make that clear in the prologue without directly saying so.

Oh, I didn't figure it for a 'you meet at a bar' situation, hence my use of 'appears'.  It just might look that way to the casual browser.

Don't lose patience yet.  You never know...someone could jump in, drag six of their friends...it happens!

Right now, there seems to be a lot of slowdowns onsite (at least I've seen it commented - my games appear to be trundling along).

Also, good verbage "trundle" is a new one on me... It is a little intimidating some times putting out material for other writers to read. English language is more of a casual hobby of mine  - outside of the fact that it's the only language I know. I like to think What I lack in refinement I gain in brute creativity
(not unlike my only running character-fulop in the Tavern)

Thanks.  We all have our peculiar vocabulary quirks.  :) 

Yes, it certainly can be intimidating, writing in public.  It's good practice, though!  The more one reads and writes, the better things become.  Hopefully.  :D

I'm not actually familiar with the Tavern - I hope it's working for you, and you're having fun!
