Metro Manila. The capital city of the Philippines.
With 17 cities and municipalities, and a population of 14 million, Metro Manila is no stranger to the paranormal. A lot of supernatural and unexplained events happen within the city, whether it's noon, or midnight.
There are the aswang (a kind of Philippine werewolves), the manananggal (beautiful women whose upper torsos sprout bat wings at night and separate from their lower torsos in search of prey), the tikbalang (supernatural humanoid horse crossbreeds), the kapre (tobacco-loving giants of the night), and even dark dwende (mischievous elementals of the earth), to name but a few. And then there's your usual zombie infestations, ghost hauntings... you know, stuff that also happens elsewhere on the globe.
These paranormal infestations have plagued Filipinos even before Magellan discovered the archipelago. The incidents seem to be increasing now, though.
You sure as hell can't save the country's economy, but you can take the supernatural out of the equation, one less thing for the locals to worry about.
Hey, it still beats working a day job.
