I saw you said you'd reactivated the "Remember Me" feature. I'm on the same computer in the same location and I believe the network address should be pretty stable, but it's not working for me.

Need to have cookies enabled for this site. Your net addy seems static so that wouldn't be the problem. What browser are you using?

I have cookies enabled for the site. I'm currently using Firefox 3 for my browser.

I tried clearing my cookies and logging in again on the off-chance that would work, but it was not successful.

I was having the same problem, but it started working for me today. I didn't change anything...

Are you connecting via a mobile device?

No, I'm sorry not Firefox "mobile" that's a type I meant "Firefox Portable". No I was connecting on my desktop. I've since switched to Firefox 3.0 and am continuing to have the same issue.

Have you made any changes to this feature lately? I haven't changed anything (same computer, same Internet connection), but the feature has suddenly stopped working. I tried clearing my cookies, but didn't have any luck with that.

[... trying very hard not to comment on "clearing my cookies" here....]

This morning there was short period where I couldn't get into the site, and instead got a "Scheduled maintenance" message.  I'd guess that the two are related, but I wouldn't want to guess which is the chicken and which the egg.

[Hee.  Clearing my cookies....]

I am having this problem.

Every time I log in, I tick the Remember Me box and it never does.  Ever. Sad

(The cookie is there, I can see it...  I deleted it and a new one appeared, but it still won't remember me. Firefox 3.5.8 on Ubuntu 9.10)

Edit: I was being optimistic.  It's not working with IE8 on Windows XP either.

Okay, this isn't a fix, but it's a workaround.  Create an empty text file (in notepad for example) and name it anything you like as long as the extension is .htm or .html

Copy/paste the following into the file.

Code:
<html><head>
  <title>StoryCrafter.com Autologin</title>
  </head><body>
    <form name="form1" method="post" action="http://www.storycrafter.com/index.php/index.php" id="login">
      <input value="" name="mname" type="text"> <!-- Your Member Name goes in the value here -->
      <input value="" name="password" type="password"> <!-- your password goes in the value here -->
      <input name="Submit" value="Login" type="submit">
      <input name="mlogin" value="true" type="hidden">
      <input name="storyid" value="" type="hidden">
    </form>
    <script type="text/javascript">
      function myfunc () {
        var frm = document.getElementById("login");
        frm.submit();
      }
      window.onload = myfunc;
    </script>
</body></html>

Then type in your StoryCrafter member name and password inside the quotes for value="" on mname and password.  If you open that file it will automatically log you into StoryCrafter.  You can even make a bookmark/favourite if you want (although you will have to either type in the path or if you are quick you can hit ESC to stop the page loading before it jumps to SC).

Please note that your password will be visible and readable in this file (but not when you're on StoryCrafter, obviously) so only use it/save it where only you can access it.

Hope you find it useful.

(I haven't figured out how to get this to work on OperaMini my BlackBerry yet, which is where I really need it, although it works in the native browser.)

(You're welcome.)

I have more details about the Remember Me problem.  It seems that it does indeed remember you for the forum side of the site, but not the Story side.
