Okay, the Add/Edit Post interface lacking Font and Font Size controls is a little awkward.  Any chance we can get those back?  Seems odd that we'd have that in the Forums but not in the main site.

For every person than knows how to use variant fonts judiciously there are ninety nine that don't and wont if you allow them to. I suppose I just got to thinking, when was the last time I was reading a book where the author changed the font type or size?

It happens but rarely. Course the same could be said about color and background color, so there is that.

I suppose if enough people want it I will re-enable it, for me though I think it lends itself to tacky looking pages and lazy writing. Plus in creating the publish features I noticed how stupid some of these stories look when presented as a manuscript or in book format.

I think it's a good feature to enable. If individual SC's don't want it used in their stories, then can say so to their cast. For others, well it offers another dimension. This is interactive writing for fun, after all! Smiley

I use them to represent different kinds of printed text that appear during the narration of the story.  I use a font like Terminal or Lucida Console to represent computerized text, Comic Serif for printed handwriting (which looks a lot more like real handwriting than any 'handwriting' or 'script' font ever does), and something bold like Impact for stenciled signs, etc.

These things are often done this way in novels.

Also, I like to use the occasional dingbat character, for any number of purposes.

The interface for font type and size has been re-enabled.
