The lives of every one of you are about to change. Your beating hearts, your wellspring of emotions, every breath you have ever taken has been to prove you are more than them, better then they are. None of you know, none of you want to believe the subtle truth that lies in wait within your hearts. The pain you will all soon know, you will all experience: after the last bullet flies, after the bombs die out and the cries fall upon dead ears, when the fires die out and when the smoke finally clears you will all be left alone. You and your own emotions, fallbacks, memories, and fears will have to learn the simple truth or die trying: good and evil are one and the same. And there is nothing you can do to change that.
Day after day, The Underground works to keep the city running in ways only they are capable of-- assassins, diplomats, enforcers; all working to keep life for the innocents as ignorantly blissful as possible. The police force refers to them as vigilantes, the innocents as saviours, and the corrupt as vile. The year is 1984, and the world is in a lawless state. As The Underground fight for control, and The Counterforce longs to leash hold of the chaos.
The Counterforce is made up of a group not unlike The Underground: all with abilities unlike that which the innocents could ever understand, all with personal vendettas, and all with the thirst for power. They, however, would never admit it. To the two groups, the world is black and white, right and wrong, stop and go. Chaos, however, has a way of breaking down those held in its grasp and peeling back the layers until everything is grey, and good and evil are no more. Each must come to terms with their own inner demons or perish.
