You wake up one day with no memories of your life whatsoever. It is a brightly lit room, everything is white, save for the green surgical smock that you are wearing and the black straps that are keeping you restrained on the white bed. You know nothing about your past life, not who you were or what you did. There is an IV drip that appears to be keeping you hydrated through some means. You don't know how much time actually passes but you are able to make several assumptions about your past life. You are in impeccable shape, which would suggest that you have had military training at some point, or worked in a physically demanding job. As time goes on you are able to deduce that you have some sort of specialist information on several topics. Some of you are computer geniuses. Others experts with all sorts of vehicles. All of you know how to lie. All of you know how to kill. Yet more time passes and you remember your name. Thats when the door at the other end of the room opens and a man enters. He is in his late forties or early fifties. Unsymathetic, he tells you all the same thing. "You were injured in a terrorist attack in San Fransisco, but were saved my the emergency services. A low - yield Nuclear device was detonated on the Golden Gate Bridge. However, the trauma of the attack has damaged your memories. We have the technology to reinstate them. But first you must do something for us." He goes on to give you your name and to inform you that you have worked in the United States Military, Special Operations detachment. It is early 2000. In order to regain your memory you must work for this man, the Assingment control and his superiors within the US Government. He wants you to use your specialist training and skills for him. The associates is an action game set at the turn of the millenium. Much of San Fransisco has been destroyed by a Nuclear Bomb. You were psychologically damaged in the attack, and have no memory. Now you must work for the US Government, help them track down the shadowy cabal behind the attack.
