1) Fantasy; heroine has inherited a baronet title on purpose or by mistake, & the title is for a small keep on the borderlands - very small & in disrepair, it turns out.  But the villages do need defending, and even if the heroine's skills are limited, she must defend them.

2) Star Wars; heroine is an assistant to a bounty hunter; when her mentor is killed, she assumes his legacy.  Not connected to the movies, though in the same time period.

yikes.  Not very active here, I guess.

I'm looking for a mature player or gm; someone who is willing and able to post frequently, and post - when situation demands or allows - detailed passages.  I'm not picky about a system or not, but if it is me who is the gm, then I will use a system in the background.  Still looking for participants.

The forums aren't exactly an active place, no.

SO what's the best way to get [a] play[ers] for a new game?  Make the story and recruit from there, even if the level of interest is unknown?

The forums are hit and miss, true.  One place you can try 'posting' an advertisemnet for your game, is here:

www.pbem2.com

As for the two ideas, the first grabs my attention more, but both seem like they could work.  Perhaps if you gave some more details (ie, what system you would use) you might get some more interest.

Whatever you decide, good luck.  And Welcome to SC.
