And that's all I have to say on the matter.

Actually, there's a little more I want to say on the matter. Because of this stunning achievement, I would now like to ask for a free t-shirt when they eventually arrive. I feel I deserve it.

Uh... a history of insanity in your family, perhaps?  Or just a poor memory?

Or maybe you secretly enjoy odd humor.  What's your opinion on Benny Hill?

Benny Hill?  Ugh.  Not my style.

I'll go with a little from the first column, a little from the second.

Oh, lord.  A forum I used to frequent once started that "Grats X000 posts!" thing. Originally it was because at a certain threshold of posts you were allowed a custom name instead of just the variants on "forum-goer." Once you posted, people would reply with variants of "congratulations," after which you gave out "gifts." Sort of an unbirthday deal.

Then someone decided it would be funny to start parody versions of these threads. At one point, nearly the entire front page was a mass of such threads.

And then the banning started.

Hey argyle2001, watch yourself. I push pencils now. As a certain mob boss in Gotham once said (before he became the Bat Signal): "Now, that's power you can't buy".

Geez, give a guy a change in title, and he's drunk with power.  Next thing you know, he'll be wanting to be a Mod.  Smiley

I'm far too lazy to be a Mod! Plus we'd have chaos because:

(1) Only pics that I would use myself or simply thought were generally cool would be accepted into the gallery. Many writers here would receive messages such as

"What the hell you were thinking? That wizard image is LAME. Pointed hat and magical staff? YAWN. Get some ******* imagination willya?"

(2) Stories with graphic torture and extreme horror would suddenly be fine on StoryCrafter.

(3) Most of the forums here would end with a message from me saying "No, I'M right actually", the thread would be closed and the poster would be banned.

(4) The Founder would get a hundred PMs from me a day with stupid suggestions such as "Boss! We need more sheep on this site. Please come up with a background featuring sheep."

(5) SCs who reject my character applications from their stories would suddenly find all of the pictures rejected, threads in their stories mysteriously closed and they would be banned a week later for any possible reason I could imagine.

And that's why I'm not a Mod. Smiley

So let's have no complaints about the current mods.  :)  Or we'll just give over the reins to Carter.
