Looking for a good Final Fantasy script, similar to an old story on here called 'Magi Mender'. Has to be of good writing quality while (of course) retaining that wonderful Final Fantasy flavor. Something that puts all the characters to good use.

Thanks!

Hmmm.  If a StoryCrafter picks this up, I may have to join.

Sadly enough, such stories don't usually last for more than a few weeks.

Pleasant thought, though.

Here's a silly question (mainly due to the fact that I believe I know the answer already), but is there a ruleset for Final Fantasy rpg?

If so, could someone possibly post a link to it? I'd be really interested to take a look at them.

*smirks* I mean, after all, I am a Final Fantasy junky.

Thanks in advance.

There probably is, I wouldn't be surprised anyways, but I have no idea where to find such a thing. Sad Sorry.

Google is your friend.

I typed in Final Fantasy RPG System and one page two received this one:

I've heard of this one before, too.

There are some homebrewed systems out there - give it a shot looking them up.

I'm not convinced an FF would work actually using main characters.  With simialr things I've done on my own board I woudl tend towards creating a new fantacsy setting sinpired by the FFs, using the same themes, concepts, summons etc, as if you were creating FFXIV or whatever.  It's worked well for us, we started a chain fiction called New Fantasy Chronicles using this premise and it's become like an ongoing tv series, we're about to start NFCV in the new year and there are a load of spin off we've been writing..and this is with a total "cast" of 5 people.  So the ifdea can be succesful, but I'd steer clear of reusing current FF settings.

Agreed. But that's the beauty of a rule set. Once you have them, it's the GM's perrogative to put you in a world. And besides, all love of FF aside, I'd much prefer coming up with my own plot, land, etc for my players to roll through.

You know, I was looking at the recently (apparently) defunct Legends of Aria (in the fantasy/sci fi section) and thinking 'what a great game, great group of players,' too bad it had to go the way of so many!

But it really has gotten me thinking about launching an FF flavored game over here.   It would be an original setting, those are the only kind I run and I do have something in mind I think could make a good long term scenario.

I am a pretty accomplished writer & storyteller, and not the sort who just one day will wander off the game, without a word to anyone. (Which is just really rude. At least have the balls to announce your departure, so folks aren't left with a big question mark!)

This one would make good use of all the characters, and I would likely keep it somewhat small, (not more than six players) as I think overstaffing a game is a mistake for all sorts of reasons.

Feel free to ask any questions if you like, or you can just check in the fantasy/sci fi section periodically because I think I will likely go ahead with this within the next week.
