[Pariah]

TITLE: The Alternate Man
GENRE:  SCI-FI (But really it's cross-genre)

PREMISE:

A group of patrons in a small irish pub in NYC witness a stranger who proves to be a bit -- different -- from everyone else.  These patrons then find themselves on a strange and exciting journey through space, time -- and beyond!

I'm looking for a small cast of writers who are interested in character development.  The entire setting is shrouded in mystery on purpose, to make your encounter with the Alternate Man -- and his purpose -- something for you to learn along the way.

As for character creation -- the rules are simple, really -- just create a public description of your character, and then a more private history with some clues to what your skills are.  That's it.  No rules or dice to bog yourself down with.

Just abide by the storycrafter rules, avoid munchkin-types and mary sues, and have fun.

Well, that was quick.

Casting is now closed -- after the title was open for 24 hours, I nabbed 7 well thought out, colorful characters.  Thank you to everyone for your interest in The Alternate Man -- and if you weren't accepted, I hope you'll continue to read along with us as we begin our journey.

Also, if there is anyone out there who is interested/able:

I'm seeking an artist (or artists) to provide content based on scenes that unfold during the course of the story, to help express certain scenes/events/locations with more clarity, and also help set the tone and pull the readers and players deeper into the storyline.

Examples would be the streets of a zombie infested city, robot sentries patrolling abandoned buildings, or a jungle infested with cyborg T-Rexes.  Not that these types of things will exist or ever be encountered -- just that the artist I'm looking for must be prepared -- and capable -- of creating scenes of this variety should they ever crop up.  I'm not looking for Van Gogh here -- just something clear enough to be easily understood.

Anyone interested, or do you know anyone who might be interested?
