How do I switch my current character if I have more than one character in a story and I'm posting in the cast message board?

The only way I have found to do that, and admittedly it is clunky, is to switch the character that is appearing in the messages with the one you WANT to appear. Just transpose the details from one to the other.
Anyone else knowing an easier way, I'd be glad to know it also.

I've ran into the problem, as have some other people I know.
So far as we can tell, the "current character" is determined by which character was created first and we're fairly sure it's based on the ID number associated with the character.
Switching the character details is effective, as is deleting and recreating characters until the one you're aiming for is the current character. I don't think there is a non-clunky way to change it at the moment.

So then if I'm running multiple characters in the same game, I'm forced to post in message boards as the most recent character created? The alternatives seem inconvenient at best, downright impossible at worst.

The Message boards aren't exactly feature-laden. If you've got multiple characters, that makes you the StoryCrafter or a Principle Author. Create an Act for the OOC.

It's the oldest character in the story, but yes, that's about the size of it. It is annoying, though.
Argyle's suggestions are probably your best bet. I don't think the message boards were ever intended for anything more complex than a casual OOC space. Using an act for such things also has the advantage of letting you know when there's a post.
Perhaps this is even something that will eventually get changed by the Founder.

Unfortunately, the message board problem has always been the case. You can go through the work of transferring data from one character to the other, or just use the new act for ooc/information like has been suggestion. I like the act idea because it's convenient to see when something's been updated.

I was trying to change the current character, too. Thanks for providing the answer, even if it isn't the one I wanted to see.
For me, it is using the last character I added. It would be better if it was using the first, because that is the one that is listed as the Story Crafter.
