"So...." said the man with the heavy stubble and the cigar hanging out of his mouth, "you wanna work for us?"

You stare past the man's cluttered desk to the framed newspaper pages hanging on the wall.

LOCH NESS MONSTER IS A ROBOT!

BIG FOOT EATS CAMPERS!

MEN IN BLACK ARE ALIEN INVADERS!

ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBOURS!

"Yes," you reply with a smile.

Oooooh indeed!

Some more details:

As explained above, players will be an investigative team for the newspaper. There will be a comedy element to the game (as you can probably guess from the title!) and each Act would be a different assignment. Player characters will be either be reporters who have sunk to the lowest depths of their careers and have found themselves stuck at a newspaper other journalists consider to be a joke or will be fresh faced journalists in their first job.

There will be some common threads throughout each asignment which tie together to form a campaign adventure. I guess The X-Files and Eerie, Indiana are the main sources of inspiration to the game as there will also be some slightly offbeat Twin Peaks style wierdness going on. Thus, the characters may find themselves in the middle of a body-snatcher style invasion within a small town on one assignment and chasing after the Wendigo, Dracula or the Jersey Devil on another. And then there are the Men In Black...

Thanks to everyone who has made an "Oooooh" sound so far.
