Wondering if anyone would be interested in tossing around ideas for a Story in the vein of the MegaTen RPG series.

I would. I haven't finished playing the first game -- Shadow Hearts took over my brain -- but I did enjoy the cannibalisticness of it. Er, it was just a fun game and I liked the castle-princess level the most. :D

I was thinking of combining some of the mythological aspects of DDS: Avatar Tuner, with the environment of SMT: Nocturne.

On a side note, I too dropped DDS for Shadow Hearts III when it came out.  Even that setting would make for an interesting Story.  It was creepy, yet firmly tongue-in-cheek.
