Hey just a question but when and if will we be able to start putting our own choice of pics up again? This has been a discussion with alot of others that I have spoken with on the sites that I post on.

That's currently under consideration by Storycrafter Administration. There are a few things to be ironed out, first.

I'd be curious to know what might happen in terms of weeding out the doubles.
I know there's nothing that can be done about image skewing.
Unfortunately.
By the way, there is one image that I know is in the gallery without permission by the artist. She asked me if it was possible to have it taken down. I'll have to hunt up the number again, of course.

Give me the number - it'll be gone.
Weeding out the doubles will be done, if things are changed. Before, it was rather difficult for one person (me) to keep up with the situation. With a change in the organizational and submission system, it will become that much easier to figure out if someone is doubling up.
That will, by the way, also include doubles of the same character. Hence, all of the different Batmans will be pared down to one, for example.

Would that be Bat men?

If Get Carter hadn't turned up already, I'd suspect you of being him.

Image Number 5608. My friend asked if her sister's name could be added on, but I figure this is cleaner, easier, faster. It was a drawing for a character in game that's not even on Storycrafter. Cool that someone thought it was nice enough for "appropriation" and yet, not.
Speaking of appropriation, there's two versions of the same female image on here. I know, because I went and manipulated the second version.
*prepares for flogging*
I know, bad bad bad. But here's the thing. There was a reason. I liked the original - the hair, the look, even the background. But the expression was just WAY too severe, and the black gunk on the eyes had to go.
The original: 1344 My version: 8249
8246 is currently being used in an RP. I can't vouch for 1344, I didn't put it up there.
BTW, do you have all the image and image manip helpers you need?
FYI: The computer apps instructor I had way back in my first quarter of school had some goot quick rules when it came to graphic design:
Just because you can, doesn't me you should
Less is More
And public image acqusition from the Internet is not stealing or even borrowing - it's appropriation.

I could use some assistance, when it comes down to that. I can't speak for images that are that old - yours and the copy. Currently they'll be left in the archive, because there isn't much point in chopping out deadwood now - it needs to be redone, and reconfigured first. AFTER that.... I'll go delete that image...if I can find it. Page numbers are always good (no, all of the pictures are not necessarily in order! . So a heads up to everyone - if you see something you think should be deleted, please give page numbers as well as pic numbers.

Note to self: next time - PAGE NUMBERS!!!
I'm in school right now pursuing a bachelor's degree in graphic design.
I'm also a self-trained illustrator.
And a firm believer that skewing photographs should be a hanging offense. And I don't mean by the neck until dead either cuz, you know, they'd be dead and wouldn't learn anything, now would they?
I have PhotoShop and know how to use it. And I don't mean crazy use either.
Wow - I was going to go back and dutifully find the page number, but you beat me to it, din't cha?
Shiny!

I can help with image processing and cleanup, as well; if you need credentials, I'm a former art director and freelance graphic designer, with both Adobe's toys and a decent eye at my disposal. --mihr

I'm willing to help out any way I can, though I don't have any particular credentials (other than a fairly large amount of free time). I'd love to see the picture gallery redesigned to be a bit more efficent and less full of repeated pictures and if my assistance would be useful in getting it there, I'd be thrilled to help.
